Currently, it is not guaranteed that the alpine ski offer, except for the children's area, will be available in the winter of 2026/27. Look forward to unforgettable winter experiences in Braunwald, such as the children's area in Hüttenberg, cozy winter walks, sledding, horse-drawn carriage rides, cross-country skiing, the ice skating rink right next to the hotel, and many other winter activities.

Sleigh and carriage rides through the unique winter wonderland are a great and unforgettable experience.
We lend sleds to our hotel guests for free. Carriage rides can be booked at the reception or directly with Kutschen Schumacher 055 643 32 35 or Kutschen Schuler 055 643 11 34.

10 km long panoramic cross-country ski trails on the Grotzenbühl – classic and skating or enjoy the seclusion off the trail with a guided snowshoe hike.

A 200 square meter ice rink and a 100-meter-long ice path await you. It also includes a cozy "Outdoor Lounge" where hot mulled wine can be served in cold temperatures. Skates can be rented on site.

Find your snow paradise on 20 km of winter hiking trails. A fascinating view of the high alpine mountain panorama awaits you.

The ride to the ski school place with the horse tram of the Fairy Tale Hotel is a particularly beautiful experience. During the high season, the horse-drawn carriage takes young skiers daily into the white magical world. Additionally, our ski shuttle (electric vehicle) runs back and forth 4 times. All of this is free of charge.

If you want to improve or learn skiing or snowboarding, you are in the best hands with the snow sports instructors.

You can rent complete ski and snowboard equipment at Tödi Sport, right at the mountain station of the Braunwaldbahn. Upon your arrival, you can rent the equipment directly at the sports shop, and our porter will bring the skis directly to the hotel.

You can already pre-reserve the equipment online.

The snowboards of various Olympic champions are manufactured in Braunwald.
